“Nearly 50 years after coming into this world, I began my life for a second time.” This profound reflection is how Anne Devereux-Mills begins her new book, The Parlay Effect: How Female Connection Can Change the World.
The book, inspired by Anne’s insights as Founder and Chief Instigator of Parlay House, a series of imitate conversations that have been dubbed, “the salon, reimagined,” details how small actions can create a cascade of positive experiences and change––and which lead to a boost in self-awareness, confidence, and vision.
At its core, The Parlay Effect asserts that small actions can create a “cascade of connection,” and ultimately change the world. This first begins when we move beyond what Anne calls “give-to-get” networking to more authentic relationships.
As we here at The Catalyst value community and connection, this interview with Anne was a real treat! More than anything it was a joy to speak with Anne about her incredible journey from badass advertising CEO to creating her own company, Parlay House, that has completely transformed the lives of thousands.
